Kate and Jack were ready for their first day of school. Kate, a big fourth grader and in her last year at Shirley Hills. She will be in middle school next year (yikes!). Jack, in first grade and ready to go to school all day.
The big walk to the bus. It is funny to see their back packs and how big they are on the first day of school.
Bryn has the final shot of the beautiful weather. Blue skies meet little miss blue eyes...
Kate, Jack and Bryn were ready for their Halloween adventures. Kate a witch (friendly of course), Jack a skeleton (nice work on that costume super mom) and Bryn, Tinkerbell (way to go neighbor Deb!).
Halloween is not complete without going out with our favorite neighborhood friends.
We had some friendly visitors (Molly and Zoe) from Bismarck in the fall. They came to hang out and were able to see Kate's piano recital (Oh, Grandpa and Grandma Vosberg came with the dogs, too!)
This year, since I returned to the teaching world, I thought I would use my teacher convention break to re-do the kitchen. Well, let's say it took a little longer than the weekend to complete the project. I think it turned out all right, though.
I love this picture of the three of the kids decorating the tree. The did a great job and were awesome helpers.
Our big girl has turned three. Although, she was quite determined to let everyone know she was not three, she was three and a half. My how time flies.
Thanks to neighbor Deb for letting us come over a celebrate at their house. It took a long time to get these skittles on Bryn's cake.
Christmas 2012! We had a great time and were so glad to be home in Bismarck for a whole week. Thanks to Papa Bob and Grandma Mikie for letting us stay.
Bryn was a super trooper this year going to Kate and Jack's many activities. Here she is with a little cheese at the swimming pool watching Kate during swim team.
Kate did such a nice job this year with her piano. She had a recital in January before her piano teacher had a new baby. She just started again now through the summer. She enjoys it but needs a little reminding to practice!
The snow fell and fell in February. Jack was determined to keep the deck cleared of snow this year. Ann captured him at his finest moment.
Jack started playing hockey this year. So, if you wondered what I was doing every weekend in November through March... I was putting on twenty pounds of gear and getting a little man out on the ice. He loved playing. So much so that he is playing summer hockey (along with some baseball, swimming and lake side sun bathing).
We had a great time over our Christmas break back in Bismarck. Kate, Jack and Bryn had a lot of great cousin time. Sledding and ice skating were very fun.
Spreading a little holiday cheer. Love these pictures as it captures Jack's cheesy personality very well.
Spending a little silly time with Papa Bob and Grandma Mikie. Looking good Grandma!
Ann and I were so lucky to spend my spring break in Cancun. It was awesome to have a little beach time. Thanks to our SUPER neighbor Deb and AMAZING Aunt Krista for watching our little animals for a few days.
Our trip did end on a little bit of a sour note as our plane had some troubles and it took us 36 hours to get home. At least we were still smiling in the end. I am not sure if we are quite ready to take another trip outside of the country, but catch me in a couple of years and I am sure I will be ready to go again.
