I am a swimming fool!

The kids just finished swimming lessons for the season. It is amazing to see how much they learn in a such a short time. Their swimming teacher is quite amazing as well. She always knows right where they leave off. The last day of the session is jumping day. Kate has been getting more creative with her master jumps.
Jack really did a great job with his skill level this year. He is turning into quite a fish.

It may not be the pool, but this girl is catching on to the fun of the tub.

Cute. But look at those rolls.

See you soon!

Summer is not over...

The cold hard truth of summer coming to end is soon upon us. I say this because I am officially back at school tomorrow with the staff. The kids don't even know that it is one short week before they are back in the swing of it again. Summer days have been spent well at the park and swimming. Here are some pictures to share. Bryn decided she has never eaten wood chips at the park before. Now is a good time.
Mom and Kate posing for a shot together.

They almost look like they are perfect and well behaved children. We could rent out one at a time if anyone would like.

Enjoying the park and a close up.

Relaxing in the shade.

To crawl or not to crawl...

Well, let's get real. This is a Moch kid. She is past 8 months old and no sign of crawling. Not that we mind. There are many small items on the floor from Kate and Jack that would be dangerous to the squirt anyway. She has been lunging forward more often and getting to all fours. Who knows it may happen at some point. Of course, there is very little carpet in our house. We have decided that is what prevents them from crawling. Bryn, however, has several layers on those knees. She won't feel a thing.

Who's driving the boat?

We were lucky enough to go out with the neighbors on their boat. Jack was very excited. They went out a few days before and he has asked non-stop to go on the boat. At one point, I had to say if you ask to go on the boat one more time we will never go on the boat. Sounds like something my dad would say (sorry, dad!) So, Jim let Jack drive the boat. Needless to say, he is a great driver. He got us back to the dock in no time. But before we went in, we had a lot of fun. It happened to be one of the 90 plus days outside and the water was so warm it felt like a bathtub. Even Bryn loved it...
Bryn took turns sitting on the end of the boat dipping in her toes. She did not like her life jacket so when we stopped it went off and she loved life after that.

Kate and Jack did not hesitate to jump off the boat... front, back, side it did not matter. They had a great time.

Love this action shot. Kate decided she was going to jump off the boat backwards. Here she is!

Such a good baby... when things are going her way. She just smiled and laughed the whole time out on the water.

I believe this is where Jack was giving Jim some advice on where to go. He loves his boats (all varieties). Thanks for the fun day out, neighbors!

Summer Fun

Well, once again, I (Ann) am in charge of the blog post...against my will:) Since getting back from the lake, Brynhas become quite the beach babe! She evens gets in the water now! I finally bit the bullet and put sunsceen on her so we don't have to find shade wherever we go.
Those of you that have been around for Bryn's baths recently know that it was not pleasant! Well, she has turned the corner and loves her tub time again...especially if Kate and Jack are close by.

Kate, Jack and I went out for a boat ride and cannonballing with Kendra while Deb stayed with Bryn. It took a little getting used to, but both kids were very brave by the end of the trip. Jack was jumping off without any assistance after just a few jumps! This is Kate enjoying the ride out to the middle of the bay.

This is Jack with a very proud grin on his face after a big jump! Tonight Bryn is venturing out on the boat, too! Pictures to follow I'm sure.
