Lake'n It...

So, it has been almost three months since my last post. The last few posts following this are from the summer so far. We had an awesome time at the lake a couple of weeks ago. Ann's parents took the plunge and bought a little trailer/cabin. We love it! Here are some shots from the week.

Bryn wore her shades pretty much the entire week (inside and outside).
 Hangin' with Aunty Chere!
 Chillin' on the cinnabon.
 Floating with the girls.
Jack moved up to be a spotter this year.
 Beach babe.
 Cheesy with Aunty Krista.
 Floating along.
We took a series of balancing act photos together. Ann and Kate were pros.
We tried adding in Bryn to the photo shoot but things kind of crashed.
Love this picture of Jack. He started out standing on our shoulders in between Ann and me.
 Excellent cannon ball!
 Excellent cannon ball, number 2!
 Lounging sisters.
Kate and Jack braved knee boarding this week. They did awesome. They both got up and soon were master boarders.
Jack and Kate were so light that they didn't even fall off the board when they were finished with the ride.
 Cute kids.
 A little family water shot.
 Nice.
 Tubing.
Grandma Maureen braved a little tube balancing with Kate and Julia. I think she lost.
What's the lake without S'mores? Rachel and Chere enjoyed a bite or two.
Kate generally has more marshmallow in her hair at the end than in her mouth. Yum!
Jack did not put a shirt on for a week straight. It took some effort to get the marshmallow off his belly.
I can't remember if this was the fire started from motor oil or not? Needless to say, it was very wet from earlier rain from the day, but it took eventually.

Cousins

Kate, Jack and Bryn all have great little cousins that are just about the same age. I think they had a great time together.
A ride on the pontoon. They all thought it was great to sit at the very front while the pontoon was moving.
Bryn has been singing a little song that generally goes... "May the blessing of the Lord be upon you..." but she has changed it to "May the blessing be on the pontoon..." I think she enjoyed the ride.
Bryn and Jenna eating some S'mores.
Jack, Kate, Julia and Jared. They swam for many, many, many hours together!
The launch. All of the kids took turns being catapulted into the water. It was fun for all.
Meanwhile, Justin and Bryn built sand castles and more on the beach.
Go Jack!

Marathon Runners (well sorta)

Ann and I decided to run the Minnetonka Half Marathon again this year, hoping to improve on our not so grand time the previous experience.
Before the race. I didn't know I was looking so bald (better angle next time).
During the race. Yep, we were running (it was very sticky) but I thougth we could fit a snap shot in.
After the race. Foggy lens. Why does my wife look like she drove the car to pick up her sweaty husband at the finish line?! Not sure.

Kindergarten Graduation

Well, it is official, Jack is no longer a Kindergartner. He made it and I believe he passed with flying colors. I guess I haven't gone on line to check his progress report.
He gave a strong performance with his class. I like the hand crafted graduation hats.
His teacher always had a picture frame in the classroom for each month and a different theme. She rocked. Jack had a great Kindergarten year. He can't wait for first grade!

Birthdays!

The month of May feels like birthday month at our house. Kate and Jack's birthdays are 6 days apart, so we party all month long to get in friend and family celebrations.
Papa Bob and Grandma Mikie made it down for a little fun. We headed to Chuck E. Cheese for some brithday fun with just family. I had never been there before. Not as crazy as I imagined :-)
Bryn found the festivities to be great. She was convinced it was also her birthday, hey why not.
 Fun.
Our nine year old. It goes fast.
 Smile.
Thanks for the Angry Birds, Papa and Grandma Mikie...How did you know it was my favorite?
 Cheesy girl-- all the time.
I don't think Jadyn is trying to drown Kate. The kids decided to have a swimming party at the high school for their party.
Jack has really become a great swimmer, even more so since this birthday picture.
 Opening gifts.
Ice cream cake. Yum. A lot of air in those cheeks.
We loved capturing both Kate and Jack blowing out the candles. I do think Jack wins the prize for most concentrated blow.
Everyone had a great weekend!
