Photo shoot after party

We recently had pictures taken of the kids. My co-worker made these t-shirts for the kids for the shoot. We snapped a few pictures of them together after we were done. Make sure you check out Tiffany's website and order your own shirts! http://web.me.com/institchesdesigns/In_Stitches_Designs/Welcome.html

That Jack sure is helpful...

As you may well know, Kate is at school all day. This leaves Jack to be the big helper with mom. That is also why you probably find many, many pictures of Jack and Bryn but not always Kate. (Don't worry Kate-- the first born has to have its privileges) Here Jack put Bryn to sleep while Ann was in the shower. I believe the words of advice from Ann were..."Come get me if she is crying." Jack's response when she found him watching cartoons and Bryn sleeping..."She was crying so I gave her the plug." A natural born babysitter.
We have the exact same picture of Kate sitting in this crib, probably at the same age. It is amazing how they all kind of look alike.

Bryn gets a big kick out of Jack. I think it is because he moves at lightning speed, 24 hours a day. She just loves to keep up with him. He stopped long enough to take a picture with her. Thanks, Jack!

First cereal. She is about 5 1/2 months old. She did not really care for it. We will try again a little later.

Birthday at SJB!

Kate's birthday happened to be on the same night as one of my meetings. Ann and the kids came with McDonald's and some presents to open. It was a beautiful day out so we decided to have a little picnic. Kate opened her gifts. I love her reaction to most everything. Kate doesn't have her ears pierced yet. She talked about it so Ann decided that she could. Here she is opening some new earrings and putting it together that she can get her ears pierced. (Of course, since this picture she has changed her mind...hmmm)
Kate wanted a two wheel scooter. The wrapping paper did not cover the entire box, so she had a good feeling right as she started opening it.

An alarm clock. Let's just say we did not think she would actually wake up to the beeping of this thing (she did sleep right through the smoke alarms blaring in the house) but she did. She said it was quite loud.

Nothing like a candle in the chicken nugget to call it a true birthday celebration. For those who are worried about our family, don't be. Her "real" party is this weekend.

At your request...

I received a request to get the blog updated. It has been a while, so here you go! Family photo. We can still fit everyone in the shot. Bryn looks a little nervous.
Here she is getting into it a little more. Notice how she is tugging on Jack. She is already letting Jack know who is boss.

Big blue eyes.

The days have been great (well until the past couple) and Jack has been playing wherever and whenever he can outside. Here he is "sunning" in the neighbors sun hat while digging in to some toys.

Bryn has been getting big. Holding herself up steady, playing with toys, becoming spoiled and always wanting to be held. Here she is lounging on the deck, too.

It was Generation Day at Jack's school. He had a nice day, because neighbor Deb was one of his friends to come along.

Jack and Deb getting ready for Generation Day at school.

Kate had her dance recital this past weekend. It was fun to see all of her hard work come together (or mostly together-- the group is always a work in progress). She was very proud to get to wear some make up on that day.

If you think only the performer gets flowers after the big show, think again. Jack swooped in and got one of Kate's bouquets of flowers. He thought he was pretty cool.

Kate after her big performance.

The girls posing after the big show.

Our neighbor was concerned about Bryn squinting in the sun, so she got Bryn her own shades for outside.

A big good-bye for now!
